Itty Bitty MORE

Itty Bitty More is where we minister to children ages Birth to Pre-K and teach them about the love God has for each of them.

MORE Kids

Sunday 10:00 am
Our kids (K-6th grade) have their own gatherings. With guidance from our MORE Kid’s Leader Amber Howe, our team of seasoned volunteers help teach the kids valuable lessons through the lens of Christ, with LOVE for themselves and for others being the top priority.

Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 pm
Dinner is part of the evening’s program, as well as devotions, games, art, and fellowship.

MORE Youth

This group is for grades 7-12. It is a place where you will grow in your knowledge of God and His purpose for your life.

Itty Bitty MORE

Birth to Pre-K

Sunday 10:00 am
We teach our itty bitty’s about the love God has for each of them. We believe that a child’s relationship with God begins at a young age and that children learn best when they have strong adult leadership to guide and care for them.

The children participate in worship, receive a small bible lesson and participate in a craft to take home every Sunday and Wednesday. These things, along with snacks and play time, all contribute to how we show God’s love.

If you have a newborn, please know that we have a nursing mothers room across from nursery room #1.  It’s a private space where you can be comfortable and listen to the sermon in a quiet & secure environment.

In my 16 years of working in the church nursery, babysitting and teaching I have had the privilege to help children learn about the love Jesus has for each of them. All children can and love to learn about Jesus.  I believe that they learn this love the best by being surrounded by teachers, parents and other leaders who show them an example of Jesus’ love by loving them and engaging with them.

Every nursery teacher is trained to provide every child in the nursery with this kind of love and with age appropriate lessons and crafts to help your children learn about Jesus.  During your child’s time in nursery they will get to hear a story, make a special craft, have a snack, sing songs, and engage in play with their friends and teachers.

Just as Jesus wanted the little children to come to him, we look forward to getting a chance each week to get to love on your children and help them grow in their faith.

But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”  Luke 18:16

Kindergarten-6th grade

Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm
Dinner is part of the evening’s program, as well as worship, teaching and crafts/games.

Sunday 10:00 am

During our weekly gatherings, kids hear testimonies, learn to use & read the Bible, make things in our CREATION STATION, have discussions in devotion time, pray for one another, worship and much more (when the weather permits, they love playing outside in our secure playground). Because Jesus was so adamant about loving one another and fostering relationships, we wholeheartedly believe that relationship is key for trust and understanding with children. We make time to really listen and know your kids.

We love your kiddos and love planning special activities for them throughout the year, so make sure to check our calendar.

While my husband and I don’t have children of our own, I consider all the kids at church like my own. I’ve worked in special education classrooms in the Amarillo school system and have been involved in Kid’s ministry for 9 years at MORE. I am a teacher by day and an artist at night, so I lean heavily on art, imagination and creativity to support the lessons we teach.  I also recognize that incorporating basics like reading and fine-motor skills into our activities is helpful for their everyday skills. I’m a practical person, so many of our lessons rely on the basics of loving God, understanding how to treat ourselves and one another, and nurturing Christian practices like prayer and reading the word.

I believe God designed us each with very special gifts.  It is a wonderful thing to see these gifts come to life in our kids and I LOVE to encourage and nurture these beautifully unique attributes in them. When they become secure in who they are through Christ, they feel valued, and in turn they feel confident.  When they’re confident, they love themselves and others more openly. And isn’t that the goal-to love unconditionally?

MORE Youth

7th-12th Grade

Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm
We serve dinner, have worship and a lesson and break into small groups for prayer and ministry.

Sundays after worship
More Youth is a place where you will grow in your knowledge of God and His purpose for your life.
We want you to know God and know who you are in Him.

Our goal is to fully equip our kids to walk in a way that is pleasing to the Lord so that they will bear fruit in their lives.
We want them to grow into an abundance of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Our youth is a healthy community of like-minded people that accept everyone as Christ has accepted us.
This is a place of openness and honesty without fear of judgment.

We will equip our youth with knowledge to live an abundant life. It’s our goal to provide simple ways to apply biblically-based teachings to their everyday lives.

Like our MORE Youth Facebook page to stay up to date with what the youth are doing. If you have any other questions about MORE Youth or you would like to help in some capacity, please contact our MORE Youth Minister Tanner Beggs.

We try to create an atmosphere where everyone can grow in their faith, character and relationships through learning the word and actively using their gifts. A typical youth service includes dinner, games, corporate worship, a short sermon and ministry time.

Safety

Is Our Top Priority

U

TEACHERS

Every teacher and volunteer has passed a background check; they are routinely trained in ways to keep the children safe and secure, such as with CPR and special needs training.

k

CHECK-IN

When you arrive, we will check your kids in with information like name, age, etc.  Upon check-in, you’ll receive two stickers with matching numeric codes; one goes on your child’s shirt and the other you keep.  Your security sticker must be presented in order to pick up your child.

z

PARENT PAGING

Parents are given a pager when checking in children. If any reason should arise upon which we need a parent, you will be paged.

s

SECURITY

Our “Watchmen” team positions itself at prominent points on our church grounds, which includes monitoring the children’s hallway and exits.  K-5th grades meet in a locked and secure class area where only children’s ministry team members are allowed.  In the event of an emergency, all staff/leaders have been trained in exit/safe room strategies.
