Lyndal Waldrip

Senior Administrative Pastor

On this day in 1911, Cantinflas was born. Who, you ask? Cantinflas, the Mexican circus clown, acrobat and actor. I’ve never heard of him but he made the internet list and the name sounds cool.

As we continue to maneuver through this pandemic, we have made some changes to the church schedule. We will not have water baptism or baby dedications again this month. In addition, we will not begin Wednesday services on Aug. 26 either. The healing and prophetic rooms will remain closed for the near future. We will let everyone know when we will have additions to the schedule.

Our live, in-person church services continue this Sunday. We meet at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. Precautions have been taken to clean and sanitize more often. We encourage you to wear a mask when you come in but take it off, if you want, when in the sanctuary. Of course, this is not mandatory. There will be no adult classes, coffee or donuts for this opening phase. We will have children, nursery and youth.

We are not passing the offering plates. Please feel free to put cash or checks in the offering boxes near the exits of the sanctuary or pay by credit card, either at the front desk or during the offering time. For those who will not be coming, you may give through this website, by mailing your offering (PO Box 51465, Amarillo, TX 79159) or by bank draft.

For those who won’t be joining us on Sunday, you can watch the Sunday service by going to our homepage or sermons page or by going to YouTube and checking out the MORE Music and Media page.

Please check the calendar below for more information on what’s going on at the church. You also can go to our news and events page or visit us on Facebook.

Thought for the week:

·      “Repentance isn’t about sin. It’s about changing the way we think. God is more concerned with changing the way we think than He is about changing our behavior or our circumstance.” (Pastor Daryl Roach)

Siri says:

Q: Will you talk dirty to me?

A: Okay, the carpet needs cleaning.

Q: Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?

A: Snow White? Is that you?

Q: Do you like football?

A: I’m not a fan of the old pigskin though I hear bacon is pretty good.

I wrote a song about a tortilla. Well, actually, it’s more of a wrap.

A guy goes to work with both ears bandaged. His boss says, “What happened to you?”

“I was pressing a shirt when the phone rang and I accidentally answered the iron.”

“That explains one ear but what about the other?”

“Well, I had to call the doctor.”

That’s all, folks. Enjoy the rest of your week.
